On the second level, the primary bedroom has a King bed and large en suite bathroom with walk in shower, double vanity and walk-in closet. The spacious second bedroom has a Queen bed and is steps away from a full bath, also with double vanity. A full-size washer and dryer are conveniently located on the second level. The house can sleep up to 7, as there is also a full-size futon and half-bath in the downstairs den with a privacy screen available and a twin rollaway bed in the second bedroom.
The den leads to a sun deck and large backyard with a fire pit and Adirondack chairs. A brand-new gas grill and yard games make for a perfect evening. Beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, and a rolling cooler make for a fun day at the beach, to be followed by a refreshing rinse in the roomy and clean outdoor shower. There are four adult bikes available (at your own risk) for pedaling down to the beach and to the shops and restaurants on Mason Avenue.
Cape Charles is on the Chesapeake Bay and is known for its beautiful sunsets. It’s a small town, but with lots to do, including kayaking, fishing, crabbing, playing on the beach, swimming, golfing, and visiting the nearby Cape Charles Nature Preserve, Kiptopeke State Park, and Eastern Shore National Wildlife Refuge. Downtown there are adorable boutiques, a quirky bookstore in an old gas station, an Irish pub, and a beach bar on the marina. Recent additions include a distillery and a brewery on the road into town. Easy day trips include Virginia Beach, Norfolk/Newport News, Chincoteague/Assateague, and Onancock.
