Please note, all guests staying at a Portoro home are required to sign a rental agreement. The Palisander House is name after a type of Rosewood - featured throughout the house. #thepalisanderhouse Throughout the house, you will also find a few mid-century modern classics - Saarinen breakfast table, Eames chairs, and the very famous Noguchi coffee table. You'll have the entire place to yourself. Just 1 mile to downtown and 3 miles to the UT campus. East Austin is just a short ride away where you’ll find some of the best restaurants and bars in town, and plenty of music! Notable hot spots close by: Bars-Medici Coffee House, Infinite Monkey Therom (hipster wine bar), Central Machine Works (casual beer and wine), Kinda Tropical, Austin Eastcider Taproom, Friends and Allies Brewing Restaraunts- Justines, Eden East, Sawyer & Co., Jacoby's, Grizzelda's More recommendations will be provided in the guest manual. Stay Local Austin is your host during your stay and will be there to answer any questions you may have about the home or the surrounding area. NOTE: We follow the CDC and Airbnb Recommended Cleaning Guidelines. You can rest assured this property has been completely sanitized prior to check-in. PLEASE READ: Guest use amenities, including gym equipment, fire pit, and grill at own risk. Also, please review the LONG-TERM STAY - ADDITIONAL FEES section below. Stays over 29 days are waived from paying the State and Local Hotel Tax. However, there are additional fees we need to collect for damage coverage and housekeeping. LONG TERM STAY - ADDITIONAL FEES FOR STAYS OVER 29 days. In compliance with our policies for long term stays, we need to collect a few additional fees from you before guaranteeing this reservation. Please see below and reply here with any questions. Your guest ambassador will reply shortly and be available to assist you where needed. Additional Cleaning Fee: We do require additional cleaning fees for guests staying longer than 3 weeks. Your Guest Ambassador will coordinate the cleaning schedule for a minimum of once every 2 weeks. You can request cleanings more frequently if desired. Additional cleaning charges will be sent using a payment request or resolution request, immediately following the cleaning.

We offer convenient keyless door codes for self-check-in. Portoro Homes uses smart locks with check-in details provided 48 hours prior to arrival by email and text message. • Early check-ins or late check-outs: If the property happens to be ready earlier than the standard 4 pm check-in time on the day of your arrival, in most cases an early arrival option may be available when confirmed with the main office. Late check-outs must be confirmed with main office staff prior to the date of departure.
Getting Around
Austin is an easy city to get around without a car in this location! Walk, rent a scooter or bike, easy access to Uber/Lyft. Austin offers plenty of transportation options. Ridesharing, micro-mobility, and mass transit are available everywhere. The airport is just 15 minutes away. We also provide guests with a full list of recommendations and services. This information can be found in the House Manual upon check-in.
Others Things to Note
Please pay close attention to following the house rules. Non compliance could result in sizable fines. - All guests staying at one of our Portoro Homes are required to sign (esignature) a rental agreement and complete identity registration. - Age restrictions apply. Reservation holder must be 25 years of age. - All guests must be included on the guest list and not exceed the maximum number stated on the listing. - Upon arrival, we aim to ensure your safety, proper access to the home, and guest features. ALL guests are required to read the house manual upon arrival. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Portoro. - Known damages incurred during your stay must be reported to the property manager immediately. - Before check in, we will send you detailed directions to ensure a seamless arrival. - Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. - We cannot guarantee early check ins or late checkouts. When it is possible to check in early or check out late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one hour window within our standard times. If your need for an early check in or late check out is great, your best option is to book an additional night. - Some homes offer pools/hot tubs. There is no guard around the water features when available. Use at your own risk. - Some homes have cameras for external monitoring only. - Stays over 29 days – please inquire separately for terms and conditions. - HOTEL TAX COLLECTION: Both the City of Austin and the State of Texas requires all hotel and vacation rental hosts to collect hotel tax. We collect these two taxes within the booking transaction. The state requires 6% and the city requires 11%. - YOU ARE HELPING: A portion of the city hotel tax helps support Austin's musicians and related businesses. - This home is pet-friendly. Please note, only dogs allowed and 50lb weight limit, up to 2 dogs per stay. $150.00 fee applies, per stay, per pet. - This is a No Smoking property. Penalty fees for violations will apply and you may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund at the discretion of the Host.

**VERY IMPORTANT - All Guests must comply with our house rules. Not doing so will require loss of deposit and possible eviction. 1. Maximum Overnight Occupancy is 10 people. Please make sure you enter the proper number of guests that will be staying in the home when booking. 2. We love our neighbors! Quiet hours are from 10 PM - 8 AM daily. No outside noise after 10:00PM 3. No Smoking. 4. Pets are not allowed. 5. Except for families with children, ALL guests must be at least 25 years of age with photo ID proof of age for each guest. 6. Third Party Bookings require additional details and approval from Portoro before booking. 7. Small Gatherings and events with non-overnight guests require pre-approval, deposit, and additional contract. 8. Guest CHECK OUT considerations will be sent the day before departure. 9. Guests are expected to follow ALL check-out instructions as listed in the House Manual, including notifying the host at the time of departure. 10. To ensure your safety and proper access to the home and all of our guest features, ALL guests are required to read the house manual upon arrival, notify Portoro with any questions. Known damages incurred during your stay (Stains and spills on linens, furniture, rugs) must be reported to the property manager immediately. Only artificial candles are allowed. No burning of natural candles inside or outside of the home. Closets and cabinets labeled as “Owner Use Only” are off-limits to guests. Please be respectful and never take items from these areas. Evidence of damage to the home will result in an additional cleaning fee of $250, plus the cost of damages to the home. Reservations made during Festivals and Conferences are non-refundable, i.e., SXSW, ACL, F-1, etc. We cannot guarantee early check-ins or late checkouts in advance. If the house happens to be ready earlier than our standard 4pm check-in time on the day of your arrival, we will message you and let you know once it's ready. Late checkouts are almost never possible. On the rare occasion that it is possible to check in early or checkout late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one-hour window within our standard times. If your need for an early check-in or late checkout is great, your best option is to book the night prior to or after your arrival/departure.

Great place in up and coming East Austin location. Restaurants and coffee shops walkable. Quiet area. The inside was even better than the pictures looked. Would definitely stay here again.

This house was the perfect venue for our party of 9! The house was clean, spacious, and stocked with coffee, kitchenware, towels, and games/books. Walking distance to restaurants and about 12 min away from airport. Host was very responsive and checkin/checkout was easy!

Amazing stay! The home is huge and perfect for a large group. We were impressed by how well the home matched the pictures, and at how well stocked the kitchen was. The home is also walking distance to many fantastic restaurants, and close to the river which has a nice running path. Would definitely recommend!

Neighborhood
The Holly and East Cesar Chavez district, with its industrial-chic brewpubs, craft cocktail lounges and live-music rooms, picks up the pace after dark. Art galleries, vintage boutiques, bike shops and coffee houses mix with Mexican restaurants and BBQ joints. The Tejano Walking Trail honors the neighborhood’s music pioneers, while the Mexican-American Cultural Center stands nearby in the Rainey Street Historic District. Just down the street are delicious venues like Bufalina Pizza, Launderette, La Barbecue, Oseyo or Kemuri Tatsu-Ya. Other spots include coffee at Lou’s or Flat Track, cold beer at Blue Owl Brewing or East Side Tavern, cocktails at High Noon and so much more. For breakfast (open at 7:00 am) visit Juan in a Million for Tex-Mex and tacos. Or it’s just a short walk to Gati Coffee, Pastries, and Eats, just down the street offering several homemade, gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan pastries (even donuts before 10 am).
