Space
Welcome to “Pelican’s Rest”! When you enter the home, you are greeted by the open floorplan, cathedral ceilings, modern kitchen and new furniture. The home features 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The living room has two sofas for lounging and relaxing around the large flat screen TV. The east wall is full of tall windows offering expansive views of the ocean. The kitchen was updated in 2019! It is fully equipped with all new stainless-steel appliances-refrigerator with ice maker and water dispenser, oven with cooktop, dishwasher, plus a beverage/wine cooler. There is plenty of cabinet space plus a food pantry. The long countertop is great for food prep! Large farmhouse wooden rectangular table that can seat up to 8 guests. A barn door divides the great room from the hallway that leads you to the bedroom area. Upstairs on the third floor is the primary bedroom. It has ocean and Guana Park views. Wake up to the sound of the waves and the views of the sunrise from your bed. The primary bedroom also has a twin day bed, love seat, and a flat screen TV. The ensuite Bathroom has 2 sinks. One sink is in a separate area allowing private usage, while the door leads to a full bathroom with a sink, bathtub-shower combo decorated with blue sea glass accent tile (jetted tub is non-working). On the main level (second floor), you’ll find three more bedrooms, a full bathroom, and laundry closet. The first bedroom is oceanfront with amazing views. It has a king bed, dresser, and a TV. Bedroom two is also oceanfront with a view! This bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, nightstands and closet. Kids will enjoy the 4th bedroom. It has two twin-over-twin bunk beds offering sleeping for 4 children. There is also a TV in the kids’ room. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, linen closet, and hooks for holding extra towels and a laundry room to use during your stay. On the ground level is a detached bonus bedroom and bathroom. This bedroom has a king bed, love seat, TV, coffee table, dresser, and its own bathroom! The bathroom has a step-in shower stall, toilet, and sink. Please note, this bedroom and bathroom are separate from the main house. They are accessed by their own doors to the lower level. There is no internal access to this area from the main house. We have some great outdoor spaces at the house as well. On the 2nd floor there is a wrap-around, partially covered balcony that overlooks the ocean. The decking is made of Trex material, so it won’t splinter and feels good on your feet! There are lounge chairs, high top Adirondacks, and a picnic table on the balcony, offering a wide range of seating choices. On the ground level there are even more seating options, another picnic table, and a hammock; all under the shade of the home. The bonus room bathroom is accessed from outside and can be used, along with the outdoor shower, to wash off sand. Experience the beauty of sandy shores where you can swim, sunbathe, surf, paddleboard, and fish. Take leisurely walks along the beach to discover treasures like shark teeth, sand dollars, and sea glass. Great vacation home Beautiful home right on the ocean that we enjoyed with family. We had a few minor issues but the rental property manager was quick to respond to us when needed. We had to wait an hour to get into the separate unit on the first floor and the hot tub stopped working the night before our departure. Not many beach chairs available and be aware that geckos can access the first floor unit!

Spring Break We were very comfortable during our stay at Pelicans Rest. The house was very clean, well maintained and had everything we could have needed. The location was great for our needs including distance to grocery store and a couple of restaurants. You can’t beat the beachfront location. My only complaint would have been the hum of the ac unit but eventually we got used to it and closed the door to the hall when watching tv in the living room. Thanks for a wonderful week!
